facebook-crowd

Facebook today now has millions of subscribers from all over the world.

The video below gives a brief history of Facebook at the same time as highlighting the rapid expansion and huge user base now.

It has been said that if Facebook was a country, it would be the third largest in the world, so why not market where the people already are?

How does it work?

The “Like Button” is how users connect to your pages. When a person clicks a Like Button, a News Feed story is shared with his/her friends and very often they share it with their friends. It is worth remembering  that people are five times likely buy a product if it was recommended by someone they know than someone they don’t.
Your Facebook pages can be like a large ad space that you can use to promote your products or services. You can post pictures, videos and other things that will make your page interesting and inviting to visitors.

There is no limit to the number of business pages you can have. Facebook states that “Facebook Pages are a free product for organizations, public ?gures, businesses, and brands to express themselves and communicate with people on Facebook”.

If your business sells multiple products or services, you could have an individual page for each one if you wish, all free from Facebook (but there will be some hosting costs for pages, just as there is for a website.)

Of course you have to get people to go to your page first to start the viral effect of “friends” and “friends of friends”; the challenge getting people to click your “Like” button.

With a skyrocketing facebook population, why not take advantage of this resource to create two-way interaction with potential customers?
